To provide an organization for inspiration, cooperation, and exchange of information among Alabama artisans and others interested in fine and traditional craft.
To encourage a wide appreciation and preservation of traditional craft along with an appreciation of contemporary craft.
To encourage creative and personally expressive design using traditional craft media as well as contemporary craft media.
To promote appreciation of the aesthetic value of craft as well as the utilitarian function.
To promote and maintain high standards of design and craftsmanship and to encourage growth in these areas.
To provide a Standards Committee committed to upholding and maintaining the above stated purposes.
