How to Apply to Standards

The ACG Standards Committee meets twice a year, once in April and once in July. Any ACG member wishing to apply to Standards to become an exhibiting member must complete the following: 

·      $25 nonrefundable application fee paid on this website or sent to the Treasurer

·      Completed Standards application. Download PDF Here.

Email the following to cathyjowheeler@bellsouth.net

·      Artist Biography

·      Artist Statement with description of the process of making the pieces

·      Five color images of current pieces showing the artist’s skills and a variety of style (one piece per image)

·      Image Description document including medium, description, and dimensions for each image submitted

·      In addition, if you have an image of your booth at an art show, please include that as a 6th image. 

You may include information on your training/education/experience and what motivates you to create your work. Being self-taught or developing your own techniques are not impediments to your application.

If you apply in more than one medium, you must make a separate application for each. 

Photo Hints

Backgrounds should be without distractions or wrinkles. If you have trouble with this, please do the best you can to showcase your work without a busy background. Please have only one piece in an image. It would be nice for us to receive the images at 300 dpi (resolution) and the size around 4” x 6” with the longer side around 1920, but this is not a requirement.
