Janice James Eubank - Glass Artisan

Janice is an award winning artist and lifelong resident of birmingham, alabama. She has been married to her husband, Bill, for 38 years. She likes to say that she was a child bride. They have three rowdy little dogs: "Bonjovi", a westie-"Cash", a king chaz ruby cavalier —and"Coltrane" a black and silver miniature schnauzer.

After 35 years in the corporate world, Janice "retired" and began to fulfill a life's ambition in visual arts. She works with fused glass, pottery, mosaics and metal wall sculptures. In addition, she makes jewelry, paints with various mediums, and makes candles and soaps.

She is a member of several art organizations including the Shelby County Arts Council, Mountain Brook Art Association, Alabama Craft Guild, the Kelly Fitzpatrick Gallery, Kentuck Art Center, Vestavia Arts Alliance, Montgomery Art Guild, and the Hoover Arts Alliance.

Her work has been displayed in many venues across the country. She was awarded first place in the 2018 Vestavia Walk of Art, the Patron's award at Kentuck in 2021. Her painting of " cannon balls 1862" is a permanent piece of the Alabama Bicentennial Collection. She received first place in the 57th Montgomery Art Guild for three dimensional art, “Hardwater" in October 2023, and also at the 41st Elmore County Art Guild exhibition March 2025. She received Honorable Mention at the 2024 Robin Nance Metz Competition at the Shelby County Arts Council. Her latest accomplishment is being featured artist at Ady’s B.I.G. Army (a vocational community for adults with disabilities) art auction
