Guadalupe Lanning Robinson - Clay Artisan
Originally from Mexico City, Guadalupe Lanning Robinson moved to Huntsville, Alabama in 1985. Her work in stoneware clay connects her Mexican roots with her current home in the South. The two cultures merge through her traditional work in ceramics and her more-recent interest in quilting, incorporating patterns and textures that reflect both Mexico and Alabama.

She designed stained glass windows and apprenticed in Ceramics at Talleres de Artes Plásticas Independencia. She was the recipient of the Individual Artist Fellowship from the Alabama Council on the Arts is in 2002 and 2016.
Her work has been exhibited in a number of museums, art centers, and art festivals. She has been featured in many publications including Alabama Creates: 200 Years of Art and Artists.
